After I reboot the product is not working properly
Note: Throughout this article substitute the appropriate product name (Hitman, VDM, RA, Watch, Swap, Ferret or Trace) wherever product is specified.
While there can be several causes of this problem the most common cause is that the product startup file has not been executed or it contains errors.
Execute the startup file manually.
$ @sys$manager:product_startup
If there are any errors fix the appropriate files until the startup command procedure runs normally. If this works then verify that this command is included in your system startup file. You may also need to verify that your startup file is running to completion; OpenVMS exits startup at the point it encounters an error and all subsequent startup commands are not executed.
If that doesn't fix the problem and you have installed/upgraded OpenVMS or any major product on your system consider relinking product to see if that fixes the problem ( relink page).
